Spurs' Ginobili to miss 2-3 weeks

02/19/2009 - San Antonio, TX (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The San Antonio Spurs will be without guard Manu Ginobili for two-to-three weeks after being diagnosed with a stress reaction of his distal right fibula on Thursday.

The NBA's reigning sixth man of the year missed the first 12 games of the campaign following offseason surgery on his left ankle. He started feeling pain in the right ankle before the All-Star break and a series of tests, including X-rays, an MRI and CAT scan revealed the injury.

The 31-year-old has been plagued by a variety of injuries over his career and have missed at least five contests in each of his seven years in the league.

For the season, Ginobili is averaging 16.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 38 appearances.
